OFFICIAL OPENING OF THRANGU MONASTERY, VANCOUVER, CANADA
The official opening of the monastery took place on July 25, 2010 with over 1000 guests attending including local,
provincial and federal dignitaries. This was followed by Thrangu Rinpoche teaching for six days.

THRANGU TARA ABBEY
NEW DORMITORY NEEDED
The funds for completing Tara Abbey temple, along with furnishing and grounds was completed in time for the nuns to host the Nepal Kagyu Monlam in February 2008. The nuns of Tara Abbey would like to thank those who helped. They are very grateful for the continuing support of Thrangu Rinpoche's students and other friends of Tara Abbey. Funds are now needed for the next stage of the Tara Abbey Project. The nuns need another dormitory as they are very crowded. They sleep five and six nuns in one ordinary sized room. A three-story building would cost approx. $150,000 to $175,000. Contributions of any amount are gratefully received. They need to start soon because the costs of building in Nepal are rising steadily. Please help if you can!
