Background
The Himalayan Children's Fund was established in as a U.S. based non-profit, 501(c)(3), in 1987 at the request of Venerable Thrangu Rinpoche. Mr. Richard Krivcher initiated the development of the non-profit and in 1989 Thrangu Rinpoche asked Ms. Debra Ann Robinson to take charge of the fundraising program. In 1999, the responsibility of directing the fund was passed to Mrs. Jane Lawless in Hancock, Maine and in December of 2004 Ms. Robinson resumed the position of Director in Los Angeles, California.

Organization

HCF is a small volunteer organization which functions as a fundraising organization for Thrangu Rinpoche's many programs. We have an Annual Fund which receives and distributes general and sponsorship donations on a yearly basis and an Endowment Fund which we would like to increase to a sum that would create a source of funds to sustain these projects in the future.

Director: Debra Ann Robinson-Menzies Treasurer: Mary Leggett Secretary: Melanie Oxley Volunteer for Mailings: Maria Bardini-Perkins

There are several ways in which you can be involved with these fundraising activities.
