Cape Ann Vajra Vidya is a Buddhist Meditation and Study Group meeting weekly in Gloucester, Massachusetts. We meet under the direction of the Venerable Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche, an eminent meditation master and scholar of the Karma Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism.

When: Monday nights, 7:30-9:15 PM for meditation and study.

Where:
Yoga for Health, 124 Main St., Gloucester, MA 01930 – above an antique store.

What:
Cape Ann Vajra Vidya Monday meetings in Gloucester begin with 35 minutes of meditation followed by one hour of discussion. Meditation instruction is available. The group reads and discusses Buddhist books and/or teaching videos. Study topics include tranquility and insight meditation, working with obstacles, and the development of mindfulness, awareness and compassion.

Cost:
We ask for a $5 weekly donation if possible, and the first visit is always free.

6:30 - 7:15 pm (Bring a book in case no one else comes!)

  • Monthly Sunday morning sitting and walking meditation practice
  • Monthly Chenrezig sadhana practice
  • Periodic Weekend retreats and visiting teachers.

Cancellations:
We occasionally cancel for weather or other reasons (like if Christmas is on Monday).
