Financial Reporting for HCF
Himalayan Children’s Fund is a US 501(c)(3) non profit organization. All contributions are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. Your information is protected and never shared, and you can trust that your donations are used appropriately.
Contributions received for support of the various programs in Nepal, India and Tibet are distributed by wire transfer directly to their bank accounts several times throughout the year. Each of the monasteries and schools is required to conduct regular audits. At HCF we also conduct an annual audit, which is in compliance with our status as an approved charity through the CFC. Thrangu Rinpoche’s directive to the monastery management has been steadfast from the beginning: “Every penny given for a particular activity must be used only for that activity!” All transactions and program activities are monitored and clearly documented.
Our 990 reporting is always available to view online at Guidestar.org and by request. Additionally, we can provide our yearly audited financial statement. We have a Platinum rating from Guidestar and 5 Star reviews on Great NonProfits.
