Sponsorship of Monks at Thrangu Tashi Choling In addition to the main monastery seat in Boudhanath, Nepal, Thrangu Rinpoche now has the monastery at Namo Buddha, the three year retreat near Bhaktapur, and Vajra Vidya Insitute in Sarnath, India. The monks are mobile between locations depending on their tasks and the yearly schedule. The Shedra (a monastic college) monks study part of the year in India and some of the year in Nepal. At the Namo Buddha location we now have a branch of the Shree Mangal Dvip school for the young, grade school age monks. There are three categories of sponsorship for monks: 1) Basic sponsorship for a monk is $240 (USD) per year. 2) Sponsorship of a Branch School monk is $650 (USD) per year. 3) Sponsorship of a Shedra Monk is $600 (USD) per year.
