The Himalayan Children's Fund is a way for people around the world, and the west in particular, to connect with the lives of people in the Himalayan Region of Nepal, India and Tibet. HCF provides support for Thrangu Rinpoche's many compassionate activities such as schools, monasteries and clinics. By providing support for education, food, clothing, medicine and other needs we hope to equip the children and adults with the tools necessary for life enhancement while helping to preserve the culture of the people which is primarily of Tibetan and Buddhist heritage.
Nepal Earthquake Help Needed
You can help the earthquake relief and rebuilding efforts in Nepal through HCF. Helping the Monastery, Abbey, Schools and clinics we support also expands help to the related villages. The nuns, monks and children are actively engaged in helping locally and in the high mountain villages. Food, water and basic supplies are needed now and over time we will need to support the repair and rebuilding that is needed. Donations can be made designated or undesignated.
An undesignated gift will be distributed equally between the monasteries, abbey, schools and clinics.
You can also choose to designate your gift to:Tara Abbey; SMD Boarding School; SMD Clinic; Boudha Monastery; Namo Buddha Monastery; SMDBS (monks branch school in Namo Buddha); or Namo Buddha Clinic.
See our donation information page.
