NEW WEBSITE FOR VAJRA VIDYA RETREAT CENTER
Thrangu Rinpoche's Web master, Lee Miracle, has created a beautiful set of pages giving detailed information and photos of the Vajra Vidya Retreat Center project. Go to www.rinpoche.com and then click on "Vajra Vidya Retreat Center, Crestone, CO" and select "next" at the bottom of each web page to see photos and information updates. Our target of $350,000 will allow us to start the building this spring. $143,000 is in the bank now. We have pledges coming in on a monthly basis and we are setting up an automatic withdrawal system for people who would like to sign up for this.
If you would like to receive a COLOR BROCHURE of the retreat center or show a 10 minute video of the retreat center project to a group, please email us with your address and the group you would like to present the information to. This beautiful video was filmed and put together by Josslyn and Thomas Meyer. We would like to acknowledge their wonderful work and thank them for their appreciated generosity.
THRANGU RINPOCHE'S POEM FOR THE NEW YEAR
The enjoyment of exquisite blessing is like the "Joyful Stage" which
Grows and increases in the world filling it with wealth and prosperity.
Like the action of the ocean, steady, and never diminishing,
May the three jewels shower prosperity and virtue in this Water Sheep year.
Note: The Joyful Stage is the name of the first bodhisattva level and the three jewels are, of course, the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha.
THE KARMAPA TO VISIT SARNATH AND DO 15 DAYS OF PRAYERS FOR PEACE
Thrangu Rinpoche is presently in Sarnath at the Vajra Vidya Institute where The 17th Karmapa Urgyen Trinley Dorje will join him from January 21st through February 21st, 2003. Thrangu Rinpoche has requested that the 17th Karmapa perform several prayers for world peace and to improve the economic conditions of the world to alleviate famine and suffering. The prayers will be for 15 days and will be performed by the 17th Karmapa with the monks at Vajra Vidya Monastery. Sponsorship is possible.
