The Spiritual Biography of Rechungpa
The sangha of Kamtsang Sherab Choling, Honolulu, Hawaii, is delighted to announce our sponsorship for the publishing of The Spiritual Biography of Rechungpa by the Ven. Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche, eminent scholar of the Karma Kagyu lineage and recently appointed tutor to HH the 17th Karmapa, Urgyen Trinley Dorje.
Rechungpa was a great yogi of the Kagyu lineage and one of the main disciples of Milerepa. We would like to thank Clark Johnson of NamoBuddha Seminar for the opportunity to publish this most precious dharma teaching. A special fund has been set up for donations so that we may raise the $3,000 needed for the initial printing of 1,000 volumes.
Those who make donations to publish dharma texts contribute to the preservation of dharma teachings, increase their own and other’s wisdom, remove obstacles to obtaining knowledge, as well as generate wealth, happiness and good health through the practice of generosity.
This is a very rare and auspicious opportunity for us all to practice dharma generosity as explained by HE Tai Situ Rinpoche in his teaching on Zhine.
When we reach our initial goal of $3,000, we will request Thrangu Gompa in Boudhanath, Nepal, to perform Green Tara Puja for all the donors. For donors who make offerings of $250.00 or more, we will request a page in the book acknowledging their generosity towards publishing this work.
A portion of the books will go to NamoBuddha Seminar to benefit Thrangu Rinpoche’s activities and a portion of the books will go to Kamtsang Sherab Choling to benefit through the book sales.
Kamtsang Sherab Choling is a nonprofit organization and donations are tax-deductible.
Donations may be mailed to:
